Director of Sales

Empire is looking for an experienced and accomplished sales director to manage and lead all advertising sales efforts. This role will include growing and managing the US ad sales team, leading a sales operation that continuously generates new business with advertisers and media agencies, as well as grows business with existing clients.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include the following:
  • Provide strategic leadership to identify and develop a strong understanding of core objectives and challenges
  • Forecast revenue growth; achieve revenue goals as defined by management
  • Hire and train a team of sales professionals to achieve company growth plans
  • Actively engaging with clients, including opening doors for the sales team and leading by example.
  • Identify and close new sales opportunities; meet or exceed target sales goals
  • Plan, prepare, and execute high impact meetings with prospects and partners
  • Manage direct advertiser relationships to increase business, initiate special promotions and new opportunities
  • Maximize revenue growth within existing accounts
  • Represent SupersonicAds at industry events and conferences
  • Execute in a fast-paced, team environment

Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in goal oriented sales positions
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrable track record driving mobile and/or online advertising sales
  • Minimum 3 years of management/leadership experience including hiring and training staff
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with performance-based / direct-response online advertising
  • Experience with video and brand advertising – advantage
  • A strong network of active relationships within the target community, both leading ad agencies and direct advertisers
  • A history of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Natural leadership skills
  • Ability to cope under pressure and prioritize
  • Proficiency with salesforce.com and MS Office desired
Publisher Relations Manager

The Publisher Relations Manager is responsible for assisting Empire's affiliates with everything related to both their daily on and off-line experience. This includes organization and management of all contracts, pixel placement, proactive client engagement to help find new accounts, coordination across company departments and overall customer maintenance & service. As the first point of contact for affiliates, this position will act as a “knowledge center” to provide support to existing affiliates of all sizes and stages.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include the following:
  • Manage affiliate relationships through regular and effective communication to provide proactive support. This includes heavy phone, email and AIM interaction.
  • Oversee pixel placement and verify accurate tracking
  • Coordinate and organize all affiliate materials including insertion orders, terms and condition agreements, new offer information, templates and creative files
  • Inform affiliates of product enhancements and relevant information such as fresh marketing creative, new offers, payment incentives
  • Act as the primary liaison between departments (i.e. advertising, tech, content) to make sure all affiliate need are met in a timely manner; able to communicate effectively with multiple layers of the organization
  • Coordinate and organize all affiliate materials including insertion orders, terms and condition agreements, new offer information, templates and creative files
  • Investigate and resolve affiliate issues

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in marketing, communications, advertising, psychology, business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in online advertising, direct marketing and/or affiliate program management; exceptional customer relationship skills with the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients is a must
  • Experience managing a project from start to finish from affiliate approval and set up to campaign optimization and revenue generation
  • Excellent written & verbal communication
  • Internet and social media savvy
  • Proficiency in word, excel and powerpoint
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical language involved in affiliate implementation is a plus
Account Manager

Empire is seeking an Account Manager to join our Sales organization. This is a highly visible individual contributor role with responsibility for supporting Empire's growth plans and delivering excellent account management to to industry-leading advertisers.

Our Account Management team helps drive sales revenue by building relationships with key players and by penetrating accounts at all levels. As a trusted advisor on Empire's properties, the Account Manager ensures that clients are achieving a maximum return on investment. Focusing on a small number of large accounts, this person will work closely with the Sales team to ensure the strategic account plan is aligned with Empire's overall sales goals.

Requirements:
  • Develop and execute on account plans to ensure customer satisfaction, product adoption and growth of existing license opportunities
  • Maintain regular and consistent communication and on-site visits with client as needed
  • Create and deliver accurate forecasts
  • Identify market trends to grow incremental revenue in key accounts
  • Coordinate and work well with extended team members from Sales, Products and Support teams
  • Responsible for customer renewal in set accounts by maintaining regular communication and actively monitoring any at-risk situations
  • Work with Sales to upsell and cross-sell appropriate products and services

Jr. Media Buyer

Empire, a leading Los Angeles-based online advertising technology and media company, is looking for cutting-edge media buyers that are looking to be a part of an innovative and dynamic team.

We’re looking for ambitious, career-minded high academic achievers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of driving significant profit through high-volume (over $250K/month) direct response marketing campaigns. Experiences successfully managing RTB campaigns, buying high-volume Facebook traffic, Google Adwors, or profitably buying DR video inventory are a plus. The candidate must be skilled and well-versed in developing, testing, and optimizing creatives, either solo or with a designer. Experience as an affiliate marketer also a plus.

This role will appeal to the candidate seeking a position that requires critical thinking and strategy, as well as real responsibility. This is not a 9-to-5 job, you’ll be working on major ad campaigns with large amounts of ad spend that require monitoring when outside of the office, too. You’ll work closely with proven internet executives with over 100 years combined experience driving significant profit online.

Requirements:
  • Prior proven success generating revenue through building, maintaining, and growing campaigns. Experience with direct response a must.
  • 2-5 years of work experience following graduation with a mid/high GPA and a background in analysis, statistics, mathematics or engineering.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills along with presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced, rapidly-changing entrepreneurial environment.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and strong organizational skills required.
